Fancy Tomahawks

We've just shipped out a few fancy tomahawks, so I thought I'd share some pictures. One had custom stamping. Both are from reclaimed "waste" ball-peen hammers and are differentially hardened and zone-tempered for full functionality. Flame-grained hickory handles.

I take a tomahawk hunting often as they're lightweight, but great tools for clearing brush and logs and for quartering/butchering tasks. I also really enjoy throwing 'hawks. It's like archery in that it takes similar skill and focus. One rotation every 5-6 paces, but then you can mix it up throwing it in different ways.
